Artificial Intelligence… it has been a boon and a bane.

Some of you have read my note about the problems I had with a human artist. I’ve gotten a ton of feedback, and it’s been great to see such a supportive community. I mentioned how jilted people might run to generative AI to avoid future issues dealing with flaky people.

But please don’t misunderstand me—I still support human artists. My gripe is the hypocrisy surrounding the issue. I hear whining and complaining all the time on social media from artists getting upset that people use AI for their concept art, cover art, or whatever… but if you want to build a good reputation with the same people, don’t steal their money and run… that’s all I’m sayin’ :)

At any rate, with increasing tensions surrounding generative AI and art, I got to thinking…

What would my own art look like if I fed it to the machine?
