Here’s to week 5 of the query process! As of August 25, 2025, I’m at 52 queries, and 17 rejections. My goal was to get to 40 queries by the end of the month, so I guess I made it!
At this point in the process, the earlier agents I’ve submitted to may or may not get back with me. I’ve set alerts on each query to know when to mark as “no reply” based on each agent’s submission guidelines.
If Substack isn’t your thing, I’m also posting this audio on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. However, the official podcast topics are only here and YouTube, just FYI.

I started the query process to publish a book. I may be in over my head, but I’m going to share this journey by the week, so hopefully I’ll have the energy to do that. I’ve learned a lot already, and I plan on learning a lot more, so stay tuned for future updates on this process.
